Benefits
of using Hot Rocks
Hot Rocks Dining has brought the concept of stone cooking into our
technological
age, adapting it for the preparation of a wide range of meals, including
all
types of meats, poultry and seafoods to roast vegetables, continental
breakfasts
and even desserts.
The stones, which are volcanic, are heated in an oven designed especially
for this purpose. It carries up to seventy five stones at a time and takes
six to eight hours to get the stones up to temperature. The stones retain
there heat for forty five minutes after removal. The stones are loaded
from the oven onto stoneware plates, which have been specially designed to
withstand the intense heat. To serve, ingredients are placed directly onto
the hot stones, which cooks and seals without the use of oils or fats,
locking in the nutrients and juices.
Diners love it as they can experience the whole cooking process at the
table and have their meal ready to cook in just six minutes from ordering.
The real talking point throughout the meal is that they are the ones in
charge of the cooking process. Additionally it's a healthy meal choice, (
which incidently has been approved by the National Heart Foundation), and
the fast cooking time ensures high flavour and a lot of sizzle.
Hot Rocks are, therefore, ideal for functions, alfresco dining or high
turnover outlets, offering a quick, well presented and high quality meal.
For restaurants, cafes, taverns and bistros, there are benefits too. Hot
Rocks requires no specialised training, dishes can be added to the menu
without a noticeable increase in workload and even help ease kitchen and
service pressure through fast and energy efficient cooking techniques. |
