Tasmania Distillery - Australia's premier whiskey distillery
Tasmania Distillery opened in its premises in Sullivans
Cove, Hobart, Tasmania in 1994. The Distillery is renowned for its excellent
Sullivans Cove Single Malt Tasmanian Whisky. Whisky is distilled, matured
and bottled on the premises and the Distillery employs the time honored pot
still method to make its unique whisky, called Sullivans Cove Single Malt
100% Australian Whisky. The island state of Tasmania is renowned for its
clean fresh air, excellent Franklin Barley and the cleanest water in the
world. The owners and management of Tasmania Distillery are enthusiastic
about the potential of Tasmanian single malt whiskies and have big plans for
the distillery's future.
Cascade Brewery
Tours
Australia's oldest brewery,
Cascade attracts beer and history buffs alike. Visit the gardens and the
historic buildings or take a tour of the brewery in operation. Visitors may
also enjoy the museum and souvenir shop. Tours: 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Monday-Friday. Bookings are essential
The Lark
Distillery
The Lark Distillery has only
produced whisky in Tasmania since 1992, but is securing a foothold in the
state's tradition. And while many have compared Tasmania to Scotland, the
comparison ends at whisky. The Lark uses the native Mountain Pepper Berry to
create a unique variation. The Lark also produces interesting blends of
other liquors: Pepperberry Gin, Pepperberry Vodka, Cherry Max, Apple
Schnapps, and Bush Liqueur. Tours and sales are offered daily. A cafe and
whisky bar, offering great views over the Hobart waterfront, is also
available.

Distillery & Museum
Visitors can learn about the long
history of distilling in Tasmania through a comprehensive museum tour
followed by viewing the distillers in action as they produce a variety of
alcohol, the most famous one being Sullivans Cove Whisky. Tours are daily
from 9am to 7pm.
